Auto Expo 2016 : US based Motorcycle maker United Motorcycles, in short UM Motorcycles finally launched their affordable cruiser series in India, the company tied up with Lohia Auto to manufacture in India.

The The Commando, Sport S and Classic equipped with 280cc single cylinder liquid cooled four strokes engine which produces 25 Bhp of peak power and 21.8 Nm of peak torque. Having 6 speed manual gearbox, telescopic front forks up front and hydraulic spring shock absorbers at the rear the bikes looks more similar to Harley series, of course in a smaller way. With the same segment, the bike competes with Bajaj Avenger’s popular cruisers series, however considering its a newly launched product, the bike shall improve their after sales custom service and parts availability in India to gain a stable market.

Price

UM Renegade Sport S and the Renegade Classic comes with a price tag of  INR 1.49 lakhs and INR 1.69 lakhs (ex showroom price, New Delhi) respectively.
