Royal Enfield finally declared the official statement on the very discussed Royal Enfield bigger cc bike, yes its a 650cc instead of often rumored 750cc or 600cc. Induction of the 650cc Parallel Twin engine has been disclosed at its UK Technology Center in Leicester, few hours before EICMA (Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori) show in Milan which is scheduled to take place November 7. As per sources, they will reveal the bike on the show Internationally and in India the same would take place in 19th Nov Royal Enfield Rider Mania, Goa.
The new 648cc engine’s detailed specification was not revealed on the release. But, we do have the clear configuration details in the video. The 4-valves per cylinder SOHC fuel-injected engine will make 47PS of peak power at 7,100rpm and 52Nm at 4,000rpm. Compression in a reasonable 9.5:1. Royal Enfield re-iterated that the power output and its maximization was not one of the goals for the engine. The displacement is 648cc with an over-square configuration.

The new Royal Enfield twin cylinder motorcycles is assumed to be the most affordable alternatives in the segments, since the bike is built in India, the major focus to attract Indian buyers and there Royal Enfield may play a very crucial role conquering all. With the huge fan followinf tey have in India and world wide, the 648cc Parallel twin is expected to be in price range of 3.5 Lakh to 4 Lakh (about 6000 USD) which would be a real challenge for the rivals.
