UCE Thunderbird to Cafe Racer at Jedi Custom’s house

“You know you are in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams. We at Jedi Customs have a designed and developed numerous bikes over the past couple of years, but there was always that dream damsel that eluded us into reality. Finally having accomplished that dream, it feels like an inception of sorts. The Cafe Racer finally rolled out.
Jedi customs started as a hobby for an engineering college kid and now has turned into a popular custom designed bike warehouse in the northern Mumbai suburbs. The founder Adwait Samant who works as a design engineer in a reputed company believes in designing a practically viable technical piece of art rather than just an aesthetic skeleton.”

Coming down to the cafe racer, the name suggests its character. REGEM, meaning king in Latin, has been designed taking into consideration that each and every minute detail has to be simple yet unique and classy. The engine has been used from a UCE thunderbird and has been ported to juice out extra performance. The tank, panels, rear cowl, mudguards are all hand crafted out of lighter materials thus making the bike a whopping 18 kgs lighter than a stock thunderbird thus adding to the fuel efficiency of the bike. The spoke design mesmerizes one and all owing to its intricately crafted beauty.  The golden brown colour lends a classic vintage look to the beasty beauty.

The projector headlamp and LED tail lamp make the bike beam at night. Sleek side indicators add to the glory.  One cannot help but smile adoring its beauty. The bike has been made for a certain Prathamesh Parulekar from Bangalore at an affordable cost of 1.4 lakhs, the donor bike being his. It took around two months for the bike to take shape.
