The Super Pulsar and Suzuki from Zars Customs & Design

Bet it, you can’t deny that the youth of the universe still prefers street bikes/superbikes or even off road bikes a little more than those retro Cafe racers or Bobber styled etc and Modifying them to fit you better  is one of the next fascination among moto lovers for every genre of Motorcycles. We today have in our bucket Zars Customs & Design in Mumbai who are doing pretty cool on those Street bikes like Bajaj Pulsar, Suzuki etc! The fact he shared with us is the damn reality “Modifications and design changes on smaller cc motorcycles is real challenging since it has less weight and power abilities and further the length is smaller” former of Zars Customs & Design Zubair Sharif shared with us, the guy who did his Diploma in Automobile Engineering, well experiance with wheel in India, or in Abroad.

“I have a workshop known as ZARS customs And designs for sports bikes and scooters. Due to certain occurrence of some events in my life I started with my childhood passion of designing.

I  started  with Pulsar 200 ,reason for selection for this bike was the scope for design changes on this bike is high and it has some power too.I hired some place in a local three wheeler workshop on rent and started working on my machine.It took three months for me to  complete, since  I had no prior experience in MODIFICATION.But I would rather call it as Redesign or Remodel.

I started with editing on existing image of Pulsar 200 on my cellphone with the help of a software known as sketchbook pro, it is easy and gives results.After showing the edited image to my friends and some approvals from them I started . It costed of modification approximately 70k with rents and other expenditures over the period.

The bike is having stock chassis and tank . And front forks are from WP. Having a look of heavier engine though it has 200cc Engine on ,because I always take care of how the Engine looks .After three months of hardwork finally It was ready to roll in new clothes and style.”

“Then ext is Suzuki Sling shot. A customer approached me regarding the modification with a limited budget for his Suzuki. I started again with Sketchbook Pro software in my cellphone. Let me tell you modifications and design changes on smaller cc motorcycles is real challenging since it has less weight and power abilities and further the length is smaller .

But with some mental effort I was able to make some changes.The customer wanted MONO rear suspension and sporty looks. Making a normal rear suspension bike into mono is easy if you sacrifice Battery Box and Air-Filter box but what if you want to keep them and make it a mono shock absorber at rear. For this  I have innovate  a new rear mono suspension known as Multilink rear mono suspension.I still have to make a patent. in this the shock absorber works inside and under  the seat.

Normally I try to make panels with aluminium but sometimes with steel sheet.This bike has got 120/18 rear tyres and 90/18 front tyres . total weight is up by 5 kgs only.It has paint scheme of moto GP BIKE. the exhaust is free flow type and sound good at idle and speeding too. The cost to me on this bike was 30k and to customer 55k.
