Built in Bangkok by Thailand’s renowned custom workshop Zeus Custom, this Interceptor 650 was designed around a simple but demanding idea: create a cafe racer that feels complete without excess. The result is a machine that doesn’t rely on flashy gimmicks, but instead draws you in with its harmony of proportion, material, and intent.

Based in Bangkok, Zeus Custom has established itself as one of Southeast Asia’s most respected custom motorcycle builders. Their work is known for its thoughtful execution and understated elegance rather than over-styling.

Every Zeus Custom project begins the traditional way — with sketches on paper. From there, each detail is refined, adjusted, and perfected before fabrication even begins. This commitment to design integrity is one of the reasons their motorcycles feel cohesive rather than assembled.

For The Prime Project, Zeus Custom collaborated with Royal Enfield, with the final design reviewed and approved before the build began. With only 45 days to complete the motorcycle before its debut at the Bangkok International Motor Show 2019, the pressure was immense — but the result speaks for itself.

Redefining the Interceptor’s Silhouette

At its core, the Interceptor 650 already possesses classic proportions. Zeus Custom chose not to erase this identity, but to refine it.

The original fuel tank remains, but its visual connection to the rear of the bike has been completely reimagined. A handcrafted cafe racer tail section flows seamlessly from the tank, creating a single continuous line from front to rear.

The glossy black paintwork is accented by a bronze-gold pinstripe that travels along the body, subtly guiding the eye across the motorcycle. It’s a small detail, but one that transforms the visual unity of the entire machine.

A minimalist rear light and compact tail complete the transformation, leaving nothing unnecessary behind.

A Riding Position True to Cafe Racer Tradition

Zeus Custom lowered the front suspension to create a more aggressive stance and improve the motorcycle’s visual balance.

Clip-on handlebars and rear-set foot controls bring the rider into a more engaged riding position — one that feels connected to the machine rather than simply seated on it.

The cockpit is clean and purposeful, featuring a Motogadget Vintage speedometer, minimalist switchgear, and refined lighting components that blend modern precision with classic aesthetics.

The Signature Exhaust: Where Engineering Meets Art

Perhaps the most distinctive feature of The Prime Project is its exhaust system.

Instead of following conventional routing, Zeus Custom created a bespoke 2-into-1 stainless steel exhaust that curves elegantly along the frame.

The brushed finish gives the pipes a raw, mechanical honesty, while the brass tips add warmth and character. It’s a small but powerful contrast — industrial and refined at the same time.

More than just functional, the exhaust becomes a defining visual signature.

Mechanical Simplicity and Visual Cleanliness

Zeus Custom removed unnecessary components to achieve a cleaner presentation around the engine and frame.

The battery was relocated and hidden, allowing the bike’s structure to remain visually uninterrupted. Stainless steel pod filters replace the stock airbox, enhancing both performance potential and aesthetics.

Every modification serves the larger goal: clarity of design.

Wheels and Suspension: Classic Foundations

The motorcycle rides on black powder-coated spoke wheels paired with Firestone Deluxe Champion tires, a subtle nod to vintage racing heritage.

Classic rear shocks maintain the correct geometry while preserving ride quality.

These choices reinforce the bike’s timeless character without compromising usability.
