MP 40 using a Standard 1969’s Royal Enfield Bullet

MP 40 is the 4th Bobber of Rajputana gharana’s Bobber series followed by 8 Ball, Soorma and Rata who all were built using 350cc and 500cc models of Royal Enfield. With a closer look you’ll find a bunch of similarities with their previously bike  Rata, which was built using a donor bike of 500cc Classic Royal Enfield. Apert from the color, the decent lather work on fuel tank  and twisted exhaust are the prior difference with Rata, as of we noticed.

When we asked Vijay, the former of Rajputana Custom Motorcycle, about the naming of MP 40, he replied to 350CC.com  “ the owner lives in Madhya Pradesh thats why MP and 40 was my roll no. all through school so we came up with MP 40…The MP 38 and MP 40 (MP designates Maschinenpistole, literally “Machine Pistol”), often called Schmeisser were submachine guns developed in Nazi Germany and used extensively by paratroopers, tank crews, platoon and squad leaders, and other troops during World War II.” Well seems the slowgun of Royal Enfield “Made like a Gun” is all worthy for MP40!
