The American iconic heavy cruiser brand and every Motorcyclist’s dream ride Harley Davidson, is targetting India’s mid CC segment with the upcoming Street series. India’s premium motorcycle market is growing rapidly. Harley Davidson, without doubt, is one of the leader of the segment apart from Royal Enfield who has most strong fan following, looking at increasing volume in a larger way.
The two Dark Custom motorcycles – Harley Davidson Street 750 and Harley DavidsonStreet 500 – feature the first all-new platform, are specially designed for Indian markets. Both bikes were showcased at the Milan motor show in Milan, Italy, targeted at young urban riders.
In India, the mid CC dark bikes will manufacture from Harley’s Indian plant in Bawal, also in Haryana, according to a top executive. The bike will first showcase in India in upcoming bike festival in Goa,on 13 – 14 january 2014.
The bike is expecting a price tag of 4.0 lakhs to 5.5 lakhs in India, though it wasn’t confirmed from any official announcement by Harlay.
