Vardenchi to make Tron light cycles

The base is a 153cc bike and has the required LEDs and neon lights to make it look like a Tron light cycle. In addition to the motorcycle an eight-foot long light cycle installation is also present at IMAX in Mumbai, where Tron fans got a preview of the upcoming film. This is similar to the Ghost Rider promotion that had Vardenchi Motorcycles build a replica of the Ghost Rider motorcycle that was also given away in a draw.

Mumbai: At Tron Night, Tron fans got an opportunity to witness the exclusive 3D IMAX showcase of 23 minutes footage of TRON LEGACY in Mumbai. The head turner at the event was the unveiling of the 8 feet long TRON inspired light cycle installation. For all the speed junkies and bike fanatics, Disney Pictures has tied-up with Vardenchi Motorcycles to create custom-built futuristic Tron inspired bikes. Good news is that they are up for grabs!

TRON fans across India will get an opportunity to win these futuristic machines through a nationwide contest that will be launched soon,” said K. Vardenchi’s have made these inspirations of TRON LIGHT CYCLE bikes using a branded 153CC bike to create futuristic machines on 2 wheels. These bikes have neon and LED lights, adding to their gleaming and aesthetic look. This is Vardenchi Motorcycle’s first-ever entry into movies association.

 TRON: Legacy. Light cycles are an important and vital part of the TRON mythology. One of the designers who worked on the sleek, reconfigured Lightcycles in “TRON: Legacy” is Daniel Simon, a former car designer for Bugatti ,who used, as a basis, the original sketches by Syd Mead, the designer of the Lightcycles for “TRON.” 

A techno fan alert: for all the first’s in this movie; First 3D movie to integrate a fully digital head and body upon an existing actor to create a younger version of Jeff Bridges’ character, Kevin Flynn, using advanced Emotion Capture technology developed by Digital Domain.
