Restored 1982 Bajaj Chetak Scooter by Eimor Customs

The vintage charm of the old Scooters is ever green and unbeatable. Being dignified in own rank, those scooters were  an icon of the world of two-wheelers. One such blue blood Scooter is Baja Chetak, a popular Indian-made motor scooter produced by the Bajaj in 80’s era, the Chetak is named after the horse of legendary ndian warrior Rana Pratap Singh. Originally based on the Italian Vespa Sprint, the Chetak was an affordable means of transportation for millions of Indian families for decades and termed as humara bajaj, the Vespa-licensed design was replaced with an all new in-house design that shared the same general appearance and style. The smell of its two-stroke engine, its distinct bullet-shaped body, and nostalgia inspires some to even restore and maintain the cult classic scooters, even if it burns a hole in their pockets – Just like the one we have today, a 1982’s Bajaj Chetak restored by Eimor Customs and indeed it’s a wonderful restoration project, keeping the retro flavor alive in it.

Eimor Customs shared their experience on this majestical restoration, “An old 1982 Chetak came to us in very bad shape.. rusted body parts and pathetic engine. We completely refurbished the engine and did engine buffing to make it look great. Rest all detailling you see is done completely at our facility from Paint to engine assembly to accessorization etc. The client was very particular with the final finish and it was somewhat difficult to get the parts in market, however we were lucky enough and delighted to pull this off! The engine runs nice and is really smooth! Photography done at night light conditions”.
